MD Reader is an independent Chrome Extension designed to render local and web Markdown (.md) files into clean, readable HTML directly within Google Chrome. We prioritize user privacy and local data sovereignty above all else.

Data Collection & Processing

MD Reader DOES NOT collect, transmit, store, track, or share any personal user data, web browsing history, or document content.

• Local Execution: Markdown rendering takes place entirely on your device using bundled local libraries. Your document contents never leave your browser session.
• No Server Communications: The extension makes zero network requests to external tracking servers or third-party analytics providers.
• Local Settings Storage: Your selected theme preference (e.g. Clean Light, Dark Titanium) is stored locally on your device via Chrome's `chrome.storage.sync` API.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use Compliance

MD Reader's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
